The Skeksis have remained separated from their other halves, the urRu, for too long; only by repairing the Crystal of Truth can balance be restored to the world of Thra. It falls to the Gelflings Jen and Kira, the last of their kind, to fulfil the ancient prophecy. Amongst the many strange and wonderous creatures of Thra, the gentle Landstriders towered above, picking their way quietly along forest paths on stilt-like limbs. Tall, elegant beings, Landstriders sipped nectar with long tongues; their thread-like whiskers and twitching ears ever alert for signs of danger. Gathering in small herds, they could defend their young with powerful kicks from their rigid legs, but a Landstrider's greatest defence was its speed.
